Silver Spur Little League kicks off the Spring 2024 season at Ernie Howlett Park in the City of Rolling Hills Estates at 9AM on Saturday February 24th.  Come on out and bring the entire family.  There will be food, carnival games, special guests and an Opening Day game between our Majors Orioles and Majors Marlins.  Fun for everyone at beautiful Ernie Howlett Park.

With a commanding 14-3, 4-inning (Mercy Rule), victory over Santa Monica Little League, lead by first inning HRs by Phillip An and Jack Suhling, and strong pitching from Aiden Vargas, Silver Spur Little League won its first ever Sectional Championship!  This talented team now travels to Foothills LL in Ventura, CA for the California State 50/70 (13U) tourney starting July 8th.  

Behind strong pitching from Aiden Vargas, Jacob Matsunaga and Cash Hines, along with a HR from Cash Hines and a HR from Timmy McDonald, Silver Spur LL won the District 36 50/70 Championship for 2023.  The team will move on to Sectionals and face Torrance LL on Wednesday, June 28th at 5pm, at Riviera LL.  Silver Spur and Torrance know each other well after playing each other many times over the course of this season.  Its going to be a tough game to start a hopeful post season run for SSLL.  

Silver Spur LL closed out its 13U 50/70 season on Saturday July 15th, at Foothills LL, in Ventura CA, losing to Encinitas LL in the 2023 California State 13U tournament Championship game.  Silver Spur won games against Santa Anita LL and twice against Golden Hill LL, to reach the State Championship, but in the end Encinitas's strong pitching performance kept the SSLL red hot bats in check.  Silver Spur wins its first ever State tournament games and first ever Sectional Title this season, in its 65 year history.  Thank you to the players, the families (who had to drop everything and travel to games long distances) and to the coaches - Coach Jerry Spradlin, Coach Wil Aaron and Head Coach Richard Blanch.  Incredible season.

Coming June 17, 2023, Silver Spur Little League will host the District 36 50/70 (13U) baseball tournament at Ernie Howlett Park on MORGAN FIELD.  Each Little League in District 36 will compile a 50/70 All-Star team to send to the tournament, with one team leaving Ernie Howlett crowned District Champion.  Be sure to mark the date in your calendars and come out to cheer on our 13U talent.

Silver Spur Little League is excited to share its 2nd Annual MLB Pro Day will be Saturday April 15th, 9AM-12NOON, at Ernie Howlett Park in the City of Rolling Hills Estates.  

Sign your children up to learn drills, skills and techniques from ex-MLB stars on SSLL's fields, and leave with a signed baseball from the players.
